Why Silicone Free?
The skin is a living organ. Some of its functions include protection,
sensation, fluid regulation, and the elimination of wastes and toxins.
Most skin care products contain silicone-bases. Silicones are
plastic-based polymers used as emollients and thickeners. There are
hundreds; Dimethicone, Carbomer and Cyclopentasiloxane to name a few.
Upon initial appearance the skin looks smooth, as the plastic-based
polymers fill in the gaps of minor skin imperfections. But the plastic
coating acts like a plastic bag. This restricts nutrients from being
absorbed and impairs the functions of the skin as an organ. The skin is
fooled into thinking it is hydrated. At the cellular level a different
picture emerges. The skin can no longer breathe. Unable to eliminate
